As of Version 10.0, black-body radiation functionality is built into the Wolfram Language

gives the radiative power emitted by a black body in the specified wavelength band band about the peak wavelength, at the specified temperature temp.

  • To use MaxPower, you first need to load the Black-Body Radiation Package using Needs["BlackBodyRadiation`"].
  • The temperature temp is typically measured in degrees Kelvin (Kelvin). For example: 5000 Kelvin.
  • The wavelength band band is typically measured in meters (Meter). For example: 10^-7 Meter.
