Eccentricity

As of Version 7.0, Eccentricity has become a property of GeodesyData.

Eccentricity

is an option for SpheroidalDistance which specifies the eccentricity of the ellipsoid in the spheroidal model.

Details and Options

  • To use Eccentricity, you first need to load the Geodesy Package using Needs["Geodesy`"].
  • Eccentricity->v specifies that the eccentricity of spheroidal model is the number v.
  • The default setting for Earth is 0.081819, from the WGS84 standard.
