All the major galaxies are given in this section. Brighter ones appear first.

Galaxies can take several forms: spiral (e.g. Andromeda Galaxy), barred (e.g. Southern Pinwheel Galaxy), elliptical (e.g. Virgo-A Galaxy), irregular (e.g. Small Magellanic Cloud), or peculiar (e.g. Centaurus-A Galaxy).
