A3.2 QuitVisualizer Fails

It is possible that the kernel is unable to send this message if the link has already died. Instead, the kernel stops and refuses to continue. To force the kernel to close the link without attempting to terminate Dynamic Visualizer remotely, follow this procedure:

1. Go to the kernel and interrupt the current computation.

2. On Macintosh machines, press CommandKeyLeftModified.RightModified to interrupt; under Windows press ControlKeyLeftModifiedCRightModified.

3. Return to the front end and type the following command to close the link:

QuitVisualizer[QuitExternalApplicationRuleFalse]

4. Terminate the Dynamic Visualizer application manually.
