A5.2 Connecting over a Network

To run Dynamic Visualizer over a network, parts of the package must first be copied to the kernel machine. Three text files need to be transferred. You may do this either by installing the entire package onto the kernel machine or by using FTP to transfer the files.

If this fails, check that you have TCP installed on your system and try a different link name. The link name should be a valid TCP port number. On Macintosh systems, you should restart Dynamic Visualizer for these changes to take effect. While Dynamic Visualizer is running on the machine named over.the.moon.com, the connection from Mathematica can be made using the following command:
