Starting Mathematica CalcCenterOnce you have installed your copy, you are ready to run Mathematica CalcCenter. The first time you start Mathematica CalcCenter you will need to enter a password. 1. On Windows: Click Start, point to All Programs, and choose Mathematica CalcCenter from the Mathematica CalcCenter program group.On Macintosh: Double-click the Mathematica CalcCenter icon. If you have placed it in the Dock, you can single-click to launch from there. 2. Here is your screen after startup.The control area takes up the left side of the screen. When you first launch Mathematica CalcCenter, the Welcome controller appears in the control area. The menus along the top of the screen organize common mathematical operations by topic. On the right is a new notebook--a workspace for entering input and seeing the results of your calculations. Click Start Slide Show on the Welcome controller to get an overview of Mathematica CalcCenter's features. Each panel of the slide show contains text and graphics highlighting a different aspect of Mathematica CalcCenter. Click the forward or back arrow to move to the next or previous slide. 3. Click Home Controller to start using Mathematica CalcCenter. The Welcome controller disappears and is replaced by the Home controller. If you do not want the Welcome controller to appear in the future, click Don't Show Again. The next time you launch Mathematica CalcCenter, you will be taken directly to the Home controller. 4. In a notebook, type 2+2 and then press   (hold down the SHIFT key and press ENTER) to tell Mathematica CalcCenter to evaluate your input.Input and output labels are added automatically. Output is placed below the input.
