Suppose you typed 3 in both the Rows: and Columns: fields. How to fill in placeholdersSuppose the entry in the top-left position is selected.
Type an entry and then select the next placeholder by pressing the Tab key; repeat. (You can select placeholders in the opposite direction by holding down the Shift key and pressing Tab.) Type a, press  Type b, press Type c, press Type d Hold down the Control key and press the space bar to move out of the grid. Press     Use the right arrow key to move the insertion point out of the matrix. Press  How to add a new columnPlace the insertion point to the right of any entry; here the insertion point is to the right of the entry at the top left. Hold down the Control key and type a comma. A column of placeholders will appear, with the top one selected.
