MersennePrimeExponentQ[n]
returns True if n is a Mersenne prime exponent, and False otherwise.

  • A positive integer n is a Mersenne prime exponent if and only if the Mersenne number is prime.
  • Number 1 is not a Mersenne prime exponent.
