SparseLinearSolve[smat, vec] solves a sparse linear system; the matrix smat is represented in the form , ->, , ->, ... , so that the element at position , has value and all unspecified elements are taken to be zero.
The vector vec should be a list of numbers.
The result from SparseLinearSolve is a list of numbers of the same length as vec.
The matrix smat is effectively assumed to be square.
The elements of smat do not need to have head Rule; they can also for example have head List.
The functionality of SparseLinearSolve is automatically accessed when you apply Solve or NSolve to a sparse system of linear equations given in symbolic form.
