StringLength

FilledSmallSquareStringLength["string"] gives the number of characters in a string.

FilledSmallSquare Example: StringLength["tiger"] LongRightArrow.

FilledSmallSquareStringLength counts special characters such as as single characters, even if their full names involve many characters.
