EvaluationMonitor

FilledSmallSquare EvaluationMonitor is an option for various numerical computation functions that gives an expression to evaluate whenever functions derived from the input are evaluated numerically.

FilledSmallSquare The option setting is normally given as EvaluationMonitor :> expr. The :> is used instead of -> to avoid expr being immediately evaluated.

FilledSmallSquare Whenever expr is evaluated, all variables in the numerical computation are assigned their current values. Block[ = , ... , expr] is effectively used.

FilledSmallSquare See Section 3.9.10.

FilledSmallSquare See also: StepMonitor, Sow, Print, Trace.

FilledSmallSquare New in Version 5.0.
