Display As Text displays the selection as plain text without interpreting it.

Reinterprets the selection as plain text form without changing it.

If the cell contains structured typeset expressions (fractions, superscripts, and so on), they are converted to linear syntax notation, not to InputForm as is done by the commands in the Convert To submenu.
