2.3.1 Running a Local Copy

To run Mathematica using a network password, both the client machine and the license server must be on the network and MathLM must be running. If this is not the case, you can run Mathematica by entering a single-machine password in the front end (see Section 2.3.3).

To launch Mathematica once it is locally installed:

From the Start menu, click Programs Mathematica 5 Mathematica 5.

Alternatively, you can open an Explorer window, go to the Program Files\Wolfram Research\Mathematica\5.0 directory, and double-click the Mathematica icon.
