Usage

• $InstallationDirectory gives the top-level directory in which your Mathematica installation resides.


Notes

• $InstallationDirectory returns the full name of the directory as a string.
• Typical values are:
C:\Program Files\Wolfram Research\Mathematica\5.1 Windows
/Applications/Mathematica 5.1.app Macintosh
/usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/5.1 Unix
