Usage

• $ReleaseNumber is an integer which gives the current Mathematica kernel release number, and increases in successive releases.


Notes

• Each released revision of the Mathematica kernel for any particular computer system is assigned a new release number.
• The same source code may yield releases with different numbers on different computer systems.
