Cell Groups and Outlining
Mathematica normally organizes the cells in a notebook automatically into hierarchical groups. Double-clicking lets you show only the heading cell of a group, or only a particular cell within a group—such as a graphic or the result of a computation.
double-click a group bracket open or close a cell group
double-click cell brackets close all other cells in a group
Ctrl+' open or close selected cells
Ctrl+{ open all subgroups
Ctrl+} close all subgroups
Ctrl+Shift+D divide a cell in two
Ctrl+Shift+M merge cells
