Hypergeometric2F1[a, b, c, z]
is the hypergeometric function _2F_1(a,b;c;z).
  • Mathematical function, suitable for both symbolic and numerical manipulation.
  • The _2​F_1 function has the series expansion _2​F_1(a,b;c;z)=∑_(k=0)^(∞)(a)_k(b)_k/(c)_k z^k/k!.
  • For certain special arguments, Hypergeometric2F1 automatically evaluates to exact values.
  • Hypergeometric2F1[a, b, c, z] has a branch cut discontinuity in the complex z plane running from 1 to ∞.
