HypergeometricU[a, b, z]
is the confluent hypergeometric function U(a,b,z).
  • Mathematical function, suitable for both symbolic and numerical manipulation.
  • The function U(a,b,z) has the integral representation .
  • HypergeometricU[a, b, z] has a branch cut discontinuity in the complex z plane running from -∞ to 0.
  • For certain special arguments, HypergeometricU automatically evaluates to exact values.
