gives the Kelvin function ker(z).
KelvinKer[n, z]
gives the Kelvin function ker_n(z).
  • Mathematical function, suitable for both symbolic and numerical manipulation.
  • For positive real values of parameters, ker_n(z)=Re(e^(-n​pi​i/2)K_n(z​e^(pi​i/4))). For other values, ker is defined by analytic continuation.
  • KelvinKer[n, z] has a branch cut discontinuity in the complex z plane running from -∞ to 0.
  • For certain special arguments, KelvinKer automatically evaluates to exact values.
  • KelvinKer can be evaluated to arbitrary numerical precision.
