ModularLambda

ModularLambda[]
gives the modular lambda elliptic function lambda(tau).
  • Mathematical function, suitable for both symbolic and numerical manipulation.
  • ModularLambda is defined only in the upper half of the complex tau plane. It is not defined for real tau.
  • The argument tau is the ratio of Weierstrass half-periods omega^′/omega.
  • ModularLambda gives the parameter m for elliptic functions in terms of tau according to m=lambda(tau).
  • lambda(tau) is invariant under any combination of the modular transformations tau→tau+2 and tau→tau/(1-2tau).  »
  • For certain special arguments, ModularLambda automatically evaluates to exact values.
