ChiSquareCI

ChiSquareCI[var, df]
gives a confidence interval based on a Chi2 distribution with df degrees of freedom.
  • ChiSquareCI[var, df] gives a confidence interval {min, max} for a population variance estimated by var.
  • For confidence level Alpha, min=var df/q(1+Alpha)/2 and max=var df/q(1-Alpha)/2 where qi is the i^(th) quantile of a Chi2 distribution with df degrees of freedom.
  • ChiSquareCI is the confidence interval for a population variance based on a sample variance var estimated from a sample of size df+1.
  • The following option can be given:
