Equirectangular

Some of the functionality of the World Plotting Package is now available in CountryData.

Equirectangular
is a map projection for use with WorldGraphics. Directly maps longitude to x, latitude to y. It is the simplest projection, mathematically.

To use Equirectangular, you first need to load the World Plotting Package using Needs["WorldPlot`"].
