is an option for functions like Manipulate that specifies what elements should be included in the displayed form of the object generated.

MORE INFORMATION

AppearanceElements->{"elem₁", "elem₂", ...} specifies that the "elem_i" elements should be included in the order given.

Different types of objects support different possible appearance elements.
