Superscript

Superscript[x, y]
is an object that formats as x^y.
  • Input of the form x^y in a notebook is interpreted as Power[x, y], not as Superscript[x, y].
  • The baseline of Superscript[x, y] is taken to be the baseline of x.
  • Superscript[x, y] is normally output with y in a smaller font than x.
