converts a coordinate in degree-minute-second format to degrees.

To use , you first need to load the Geodesy Package using .

The coordinates are adjusted to stay between -180 and 180 degrees.

Note that the sign of degrees is enforced on minutes and seconds; so means 34 degrees, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds W (or S), as does .
