Evaluate in Place
evaluates a selection in place.

Details Details

No new output cell is produced, instead the output is pasted over the selected input.
Unlike Evaluation ► Evaluate Cells, Evaluate in Place evaluates only the selected characters, not the whole cell.
If the evaluation produces warning messages, print output, or graphics output, all are placed in new cells after the cell being evaluated.
Keyboard shortcuts: Shift+Ctrl+Enter (Windows); Cmd+Return (Macintosh); Shift+Ctrl+Enter (Linux).
