Using the Author Information Dialog

Customizing the Author Information Dialog

By configuring an Author Form Customization cell in a module's style sheet, you can customize the Author Information Dialog to suit a variety of special needs.

Custom Fields and Macros

Some formats, such as AMS-, maintain more than the typical author information data, and require a customized Author Information Dialog. The extra fields and their corresponding macros are added by setting the Field Correlations in the Author Customization cell in the style sheet.

Note: The Author Form Customization cell MUST have the cell tag "AuthorFormCustomization".

Custom Radio Buttons and XML Tags

Some XML formats, such as BioMedCentral article, require some XML tags that merely toggle simple settings without any unique content. In the case of BioMedCentral, these special tags are specific to author data, and radio buttons have been added to the Author Information Dialog to express this information. These are added to the dialog by configuring Radio Button Correlations in the Author Customization cell in the style sheet. A number specifies the minimum buttons (if not zero) that must be checked for the settings be accepted. For "Contributed Equally", there must be at least two sets of author data that has this radio button checked.

Note: The Author Form Customization cell MUST have the cell tag "AuthorFormCustomization".
