- "ZIPCode" entities include all five-digit ZIP Codes currently in use in the US and its territories.
- "ZIPCode" entity classes are based on their use as standard, PO box or other types of ZIP Codes.
- While there is a well-known, finite number of available ZIP Codes (00001–99999), entities do not exist for non-active ZIP Codes. Currently active ZIP Codes may disappear if they are discontinued by the USPS.
- Some properties are available for the "ZIPCode" entity type as a whole and can be given using the form EntityValue["ZIPCode",property]. Such properties include:
