Show Options...
• Show Options opens a dialog box showing all option settings for the selected cell and also the style being applied to the cell.
• The dialog box shows the name of the cell's style along with options applied to the cell explicitly as well as those options inherited from the style sheet.
• Neither the options nor the style can be edited from this dialog. They can only be viewed.
• To see the options applied to a particular cell place your cursor in a cell or select a cell bracket and invoke Cell > Properties > Show Options.... The Cell Options dialog will appear.
• The style name appears at the top of the dialog and the specific options are listed in a box below. The options appear in a format known as rules. Each rule is composed of an option name followed by an arrow (i.e.: "
" or "
") which in turn is followed by the option's parameter settings.
• At the bottom of the dialog are the buttons Refresh and OK. The dialog remains open until you hit OK. The Refresh button updates the dialog with the style name and cell options that correspond to the current cell selection. There is no automatic refresh for this dialog, so the information that appears in the dialog came from the cell that was selected at the time the dialog was launched or from the last cell selected when Refresh was hit. Consequently, if you want to view a cell's options and the dialog is already open, place your cursor in the cell or on the cell bracket and hit Refresh.
