PrintPrecision
• PrintPrecision is an option for cells that determines the maximum number of digits used for displaying a machine precision number.
• Machine precision numbers are typically generated by numeric evaluations in the kernel and are indicated by a ` at the end. The setting for PrintPrecision is only used when NumberMarks
False.
• With the default setting PrintPrecision
6, only the six most significant digits of a number are displayed in a notebook, even though the value of the number may be stored in memory to much higher precision.
