Greek and Other Letters
You can enter Greek and other special characters using the
and
subpalettes of the Typesetting palette. Alternatively, you can choose the type of letters from the Window
Letters menu. You can choose from Greek, Latin, Script, Gothic, and double-struck letters.
Clicking any of the buttons on the palette causes the corresponding character to be entered into your notebook. Letters can be combined with ordinary text and numbers in any way.
In addition, there are two other ways to enter Greek letters using the keyboard.
• Type the full name of the character.
• Type the keyboard alias for the character.
Some examples of how to enter Greek letters.
Note: The
key appears as
on the screen.
