Default Palettes
Once you have closed the Welcome screen to expose the desktop, two palettes remain at the right of the screen.
Default palette--templates for creating document elements according to the default style sheet, PubliconDefault.nb.
Typesetting palette--templates for entering mathematical notation, special characters, and other formatted content.
All palettes have a common set of buttons at the top.
Arrow buttons that change the location of the palette on your screen
A
button that opens Help Browser information on using the palette
A
button that opens a sample document using the palette's style. (The Typesetting palette does not have this button.)
A
button that minimizes the size of the palette to free up space on the screen -- clicking on the iconified palette near the lower right or left corner of the screen restores it
The document palettes also have a subtle
button below all other buttons for toggling a scrollbar.
