Appendix. Collection of Control Systems for Case Studies

This appendix is a collection of benchmark dynamic systems from the literature (Benner et al. (1995), Hung and MacFarlane (1982), and others). The description follows the standard notation from Control System Professional, Chapter 3, and is available in the package NumericalControlMethods`Examples`.

The following systems are typically displayed in TraditionalForm, possibly compacted using the NumberForm utility. However, when the output is still too large to fit on the printed page, the StandardForm representation and/or the built-in means for creating an abbreviated output are used.
