FormatTypeAutoConvert
This function has not been fully integrated into the long-term Wolfram Language, and is subject to change.
is an option for cells that specifies whether the contents of a cell are automatically converted into a different format when the style of that cell is changed.
Details
- Each cell style has a certain format associated with it. For example, by default, input cells are displayed in StandardForm and text cells are displayed in TextForm. With the default setting FormatTypeAutoConvert->True, when you change the style of a cell to a style with a different default format, the contents of the cell are automatically converted to the new format.
- With the setting FormatTypeAutoConvert->False, the contents of a cell stay in the same format even if the cell style is changed.
