Aligning Equations
Aligned Equation Settings Dialog
This dialog box allows you to enter explicit column width settings for your aligned equations. The settings must be in the form {x, y}, where
and
add up to 1. For example, a setting of {0.28, 0.72} would result in column widths of 28% and 72%, respectively. If you enter just a single number without braces, you are setting all the columns of the aligned equation to the same value. Note that this dialog box also accepts integers, that indicate an explicit width setting in ems (a typography term indicating the width of the letter "M" in the font and point size in use), which is more useful for precision adjustment for print than for electronic documents.
