Specifying the Style of Citations
The CitationFormat template controls the formatting of the citations that appear in the body of a document. The possible values of this template are:
• Key-The key for the reference.
• Number-Autogenerated serial number. Example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10.
• ConjoinedNumbers-Same as Number, but adjacent citations are formatted in shortened format. When citation numbers are contiguous, a number range format is used. Numbers are comma separated and listed explicitly otherwise. Example: 1-4, 6, 8-10.
• AuthorsAndYear-The list of authors followed by the publication year.
The default value depends on the value of another template called Sorting.
Note: All the CitationFormat format types can also appear bracketed by using the same names as above but delimited by brackets. For example, [Key], [Number], [ConjoinedNumbers], and so on.
