To interrupt a Mathematica evaluation: If an evaluation is already being performed, you will be prompted to abort the current evaluation. Although most Mathematica evaluations can be interrupted, some cannot. If the kernel does not respond to an abort request after some time, you can choose to close the kernel to end the evaluation. To close a kernel during an evaluation and return control to Excel: Notes • Pressing the Esc key does not interrupt Mathematica evaluations.
