IncludeWaters

IncludeWaters

is an option that specifies whether disconnected water molecules should be included in the results.

Details

  • IncludeWaters is an option for functions such as BioMoleculePlot3D and MoleculeMesh.
  • Crystal structures for large biomolecules often contain water molecules that are not bonded directly to the biomolecule. Since hydrogen atoms are too small to be detected, the waters in a crystal structure only show the position of the oxygen atoms. It is often useful to exclude them during visualization.
