"Subscript"

"Subscript"

is a front end token that creates a SubscriptBox and fills the base with a selection.

Details

  • "Subscript" is equivalent to Insert ▶ Typesetting ▶ Subscript.
  • "Subscript" will fill the base with the subexpression to the left of the selection if it is an insertion point.
  • A typical use is FrontEndExecute[FrontEndToken["Subscript"]].
