InitializationGroup

This function has not been fully integrated into the long-term Wolfram Language, and is subject to change.

InitializationGroup

is an option for the first cell of a cell group that specifies whether the group should be tagged to be evaluated by the Wolfram Language kernel when the notebook that contains them is opened.

Details

  • Additional front end options determine the precise behavior of initialization groups when a notebook is opened.
  • When you first save a notebook that contains initialization groups or cells, you have the option to make a parallel auto-generated .m package that contains only the contents of the initialization groups and cells. The package is by default automatically updated whenever the initialization groups or cells in the notebook are changed and saved again.
