Stability Analysis 

Rotating machinery often experiences resonance frequencies that rely on the shaft speed, and one cause for this is the gyroscopic effects. This package offers two examples that demonstrate how to conduct a stability analysis and determine its impact on mechanical systems. In both cases, a model of a clamped shaft with a disk, as shown in Figure 1, is used.
