The File menu provides operations to work with notebook files.

New — create a new notebook, slide show, .m package or text document

Open... — open notebook or other files

Open from Cloud... — open notebook or other files from the Wolfram Cloud

Close — close the current notebook

Save — save the current notebook

Save As... — save the current notebook under a new name

Save to Cloud... — save the current notebook to the Wolfram Cloud

Publish to Cloud... — publish the current notebook to the Wolfram Cloud

Save Selection As... — save the current selection in many possible formats

Revert... — restore the current notebook to its last saved version

Preview for Wolfram Player — open a window previewing the notebook in Wolfram Player view

Install... — install a Wolfram System package, stylesheet, palette, or other item

Send To... — send the current notebook by email

Printing Settings ▶ — set printing settings or printing environment

Print... — print the current notebook

Print Selection... — print the current selection

Exit — exit the Wolfram System
