GridBaseline

GridBaseline has been superseded by the BaselinePosition option for Grid and related objects.

GridBaseline

is an option for GridBox that specifies what place in the grid should be considered its baseline for purposes of alignment with surrounding objects.

Details

  • GridBaseline determines how a GridBox will be positioned vertically with respect to other boxes, for example in a RowBox.
  • GridBaseline->pos specifies that position pos in the GridBox should be assumed to be the baseline of the GridBox and should therefore be aligned with the baselines of other boxes.
  • Possible settings are:
  • Axisaxis of the middle row in the grid (default)
    Baselinebaseline of the middle row in the grid
    Bottombottom of the whole grid
    Centerhalfway from top to bottom
    Toptop of the whole grid
  • A setting of {pos,{i,j}} specifies that the position pos in the i, j element of the GridBox should be assumed to be the baseline for the whole GridBox.
