Relative
2D/3D

Relative is a setting for the Magnitude option for Force.
Magnitude->Relative causes the magnitude of the applied load to be equal to the specified magnitude times the length of the vector used to specify the direction of the load.

Relative is also a setting for the Magnitude option for Arrow.
• In Modeler3D, Relative is also a setting for the Magnitude option for Moment and Extrude.
• The alternative to the Relative setting is Absolute, which causes the magnitude of the applied load to be equal to the specified magnitude.
• See also: CutOff.

Further Examples

Load the Modeler2D package.

Create a load object for body 2. Note that the length of the force vector (5) does not affect the resulting force and moment with Magnitude->Absolute.
