MaxMixtureKernels
is an option for SmoothKernelDistribution and related functions that specifies the maximum number and location of kernel functions to use in the estimation.
Details
- The following settings can be given for MaxMixtureKernels:
-
Automatic automatically place number of kernels All place a kernel at all data points n use uniformly spaced kernels {spec1,spec2,…} use spec1, spec2, … in different dimensions - MaxMixtureKernels specifies the initial number and placement of kernels to use in a density estimation. Kernels with zero weights from the estimation are not used in the final result.
