$AllowInternet

$AllowInternet

controls whether the Wolfram System is allowed to access the internet.

Details

  • Set $AllowInternet to False to prevent the Wolfram System from attempting to use the internet.
  • You can also set the value using the Help Internet & Mail Settings dialog.
  • The value of $AllowInternet is preserved between sessions.
  • With $AllowInternet set to False, some useful internal functionality will be disabled, such as access to the Wolfram Knowledgebase and automatic paclet updates.
