Information

This example model shows how to move two cylinders and how a pressure-reducing valve can be used to maintain a lower pressure in a sub-circuit.

Fig. 1 shows how the first cylinder is extended and then retracted, and how the second cylinder is retracted, then extended, and finally retracted again. Fig. 2 shows how the pressure-reducing valve limits the pressure at the second cylinder.

Fig. 2 Cylinder pressures. Notice how the cylinder 2 pressure is reduced by the pressure-reducing valve opening pressure. Also notice that the cylinder 2 pressure is larger than the cylinder 1 pressure.
