  • Linear fractional optimization is also known as linear fractional programming (LFP) and mixed-integer fractional linear programming (MILFP).
  • Linear fractional optimization is a convex optimization problem that can be solved globally and efficiently with real, integer or complex variables.

The dual maximum value is always less than or equal to the primal minimum value, so it provides a lower bound.   • If it is a priori known that the solution sought is where the denominator is either positive or negative, then including a constraint in a and b equivalent to positivity or negativity of the denominator will allow LinearFractionalOptimization to compute the solution more quickly.
